The local buddy system gives our international students the opportunity to integrate with local students from the moment they arrive at school.
Each student will be assigned a local student ‘buddy’ who will meet them on the first day of school.
This buddy will be in all or some of the same classes as the overseas student and will help their overseas student to integrate into the school, make new friends and get used to their new surroundings.
Each school may organise the student buddy system slightly differently, so it’s important for participants in this programme to be open-minded and flexible.
