HSI Making Their Travel List and Checking it Twice

Christmas time is always an exciting time, no matter what age you are. However, there’s a real buzz amongst our international students as they prepare to go home for the Christmas holidays. For some of the students, it will be the first time they’ve seen their family since travelling to Ireland in September to live abroad and participate in our academic programme for the year.

HSI’s staff and Student Advisors are working hard to ensure that all of the students get home for the Christmas holidays to see and be with their families. We’ll be at the airport on the day of departure offering airport assistance and making certain that each student arrives at the airport knowing what they have to do, where to go and gets checked in for their flight safely. We’ve made our travel list and checked it twice! We’re busy outlining all the details of their transfer arrangements and have communicated with each student and their host families to ensure that everyone knows what’s required.

In the meantime, HSI’s international students have been embracing Ireland’s love for the festive season and making memories. They’ve been doing all of the best things to do during Christmas, starting with meeting up with the friends that they’ve made since the day they arrived in Ireland to learn and improve their English. The festivities have continued with pizza parties, walking along Ireland’s scenic coast, enjoying a shopping trip to Dublin, going to the Christmas markets and having fun ice skating. They’ve been having so much fun that we’ve been told that some students are even sad to leave, but don’t worry students. HSI staff will be there at the airport in January ready to welcome you back after the holidays.
