As the new school year kicks off, I’m thrilled to dive into my studies and activities!
I'm taking on Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology as my subjects. It's challenging at times since I'm tackling topics I've never studied before, and I also need to keep improving my English. Despite the challenges, I'm more motivated than ever!
Fun-Filled Day at the Adventure Playground
Recently, I joined my fellow boarding students for a trip to an adventure playground about an hour away from our school. The weather was perfect, and we had an incredible day filled with activities.
We started the day with an hour of canoeing. While the warm weather made me feel a bit sleepy, it was an eye-opening experience. I discovered that I need to build more strength, as rowing was tougher than I expected. Nevertheless, canoeing was a great experience, and I enjoyed every moment.
After canoeing, we explored the adventure playground. Some of the equipment was quite high, which made me anxious at first. However, after seeing younger students conquer the heights, I decided to give it a try. Reaching the top was even more thrilling than I had anticipated, and we all had so much fun!
Although I was a bit nervous at the beginning because there were students in my group that I hadn’t spoken to before, by the end of the day, I had really enjoyed all the activities and made new connections.
Embracing New Cultures and Challenges
Sometimes, it feels a bit awkward to interact with students from different countries and cultures. I tend to be a bit shy in these situations, but this year, I’m determined to be more outgoing and open to new experiences.
Fun Thursdays: A Taste of the World
In boarding, we have a tradition called “Fun Thursday,” where we participate in various evening activities. Last week, all the girls in boarding made sushi together. Although I couldn’t perfectly recreate traditional Japanese sushi, it was a huge success! Inspired by this, we've decided to make international food every Thursday, starting next week. I’m really excited about this because we have students from Germany, Spain, China, Hong Kong, and more. I can’t wait to share what we create in next month’s blog!
