Studying in the USA

The USA has been known as the melting pot of the peoples of the world – and this is still true, but the differences now to the past is that Americans are more conscious of how their differences – cultures, religions, customs and even languages – contribute to the uniqueness that is America.

Our images of the US are derived from tv, films and literature – but these represent just one set of images. Life in America is like life everywhere else – family, tradition, success, happiness and the day to day challenges that we all face. This is what a high school programme in America is about – learning how we all live the same lives but celebrating our differences.
