How To Apply
We make it as simple as possible. You complete ONE application form to participate in a HSI programme and we use this to apply to whatever number of schools you have a preference for and that we think will be interested in you. Your local HSI representative will give you all the material and information you need for a successful application.
If you are not aware of any local educational travel agencies who work with HSI, please contact the HSI Head Office or the local office in the chosen country.
1. To make an application you need: - Completed HSI Application
- Completed School references
- Completed English Test and Report
- Your education details for the past two years
- Completed Medical Report
- Payment of school deposit*
| 2. When you have been accepted for the programme: - Copy of your Birth Cert
- Completed Student Contracts and medical report
- Photographs (passport size)
- Next or final payment

3. Before travelling to your country of choice: - Valid passport (and Visa if necessary)
- Copy of your insurance policy (if not provided by HSI)
- Your most recent examination results
- Payment of the balance of fees
| 4. What you need to bring with you: - A good dictionary
- Whatever English language books you have
- Novels in your own language
- Some ‘emergency’ pocket money
- A positive attitude
- A present for your host family

You will receive a HSI orientation booklet before you arrive which will give you some practical advice and information on living in the UK and Australia – bank accounts, electricity, weather, local travel, programme guideline and rules, anticipated extra expenses, etc. HSI will also supply you with a school clothing list and advice on whatever else you may need for your programme.
